How did the landscape design project come to us?

In the business of landscaping, there are no two jobs that are the same. Each customer comes to us with unique ideas, visions, and problems. Customers come to us through many outlets like social media, recommendations from their neighbors, our website or in this case their home builder. The Gaden’s built a new custom home with Stephen Alexander Homes so they were starting with a blank slate for their landscaping.

What landscape issues did their property have?

One of our designers, Cristina, met them out at their new home while it was still under construction. Their building lot had not been properly graded yet, so their yard was pooling with water.

What kind of landscaping features did they want?

Their list of wants:

• Low maintenance landscaping
• Variety of textures
• Color
• Some native plants
• Artificial turf for the dog in the back yard
• Bermuda turf in the front yard
• Sauna area
• Rocks and boulders

This project features low maintenance plants, trees, and shrubs while still offering a variety of landscaping interest and colors. The artificial turf keeps the lawn maintenance around the pool to a minimum and makes cleaning up after pets a breeze! Having rock as your landscape bed covering keeps unwanted mulch and debris out of the pool!
